Basketball Recap: Praise Academy Comes Up Short

Praise Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Notre Dame Academy Irish Wolfhounds, falling 60-20.

Notre Dame Academy found their leader in sophomore Jazlynn Brown, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 15 boards. Brown is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cara Amadi, who posted 14 points in addition to seven steals and five boards.

Praise Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Notre Dame Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Praise Academy will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Notre Dame Academy at 5:00 p.m. As for Notre Dame Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cottage at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Notre Dame Academy is facing Cottage at the right time seeing as Cottage is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
