Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Reedley

The Liberty Patriots will face off against the Reedley Pirates at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Liberty's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Dos Pueblos, sneaking past 1-0. Given Liberty's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 105th, while Dos Pueblos are ranked 376th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Liberty's one-goal win came courtesy of Owen Billson, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, Reedley won against Fresno on Saturday with three goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Tuesday. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Central Valley. The match marked Reedley's most dominant victory of the season so far.

The win made it two in a row for Reedley and bumps their season record up to 6-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two matchups. As for Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 4-2-4.
