Baseball Recap: Gilroy Mustangs vs. Live Oak Acorns
Gilroy had lost five straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 10-8 to make it six. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Live Oak Acorns. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Acorns earlier this season, when they won 3-1.
Brennan Neander led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayson Quezada, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
