Baseball Recap: Rejoice Christian Comes Up Short

Rejoice Christian lost against Collinsville back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Rejoice Christian lost 15-4 to Collinsville. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trace Sanchez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Hall, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Even though they lost, Rejoice Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in four consecutive contests.

Rejoice Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Collinsville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rejoice Christian will take on Blackwell at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Collinsville, they will venture away from home to square off against Carl Junction at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
