Soccer Recap: Manitou Springs Comes Up Short

Manitou Springs entered their matchup against Delta on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Mustangs fell 3-1 to the Panthers. Manitou Springs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Delta apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Manitou Springs' goal came courtesy of Elie Bourgeois, who's now up to nine this season.

Manitou Springs suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 8-2-2. As for Delta, the win keeps they at an undefeated 12-0.

Coming up, Manitou Springs will head out on the road to face off against Woodland Park at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Delta, they will host Telluride at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Delta's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Telluride have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
