Volleyball Recap: Poly Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Poly can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Fairfax Lions on Monday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-12, 13-25, 25-20.

Leandro Juarez paced Poly's offense, picking up 14 kills. Juarez got some help from Jao Libunoa and his 26 assists. Brandon Campos controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Poly's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-11-3. As for Fairfax, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-15-1.

Poly does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fairfax, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences on the 14th.
