Baseball Game Preview: Buffalo Bison vs. Chapmanville Regional Tigers

The Buffalo Bison are taking a road trip to square off against the Chapmanville Regional Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Buffalo will be strutting in after a victory while Chapmanville Regional will be coming in after a defeat.

Buffalo will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Winfield, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bison walked away with an 8-4 win over the Generals on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Bison as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Caiden Craig, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. Luca Signorini was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Buffalo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 9.

Meanwhile, Chapmanville Regional came up short against Scott on Tuesday and fell 7-4. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Buffalo now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Chapmanville Regional, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Buffalo might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Chapmanville Regional in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Bison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
