It was a good run, but Jimtown unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Varsity Opponent.

Lilly Gaugler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits.

At the plate, Skyler Pello made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Jimtown's loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Looking ahead, Jimtown will face off against Bremen at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Varsity Opponent, they will look to defend their home field on Sunday against Scarsdale at 12:00 p.m. Varsity Opponent will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
