Baseball Game Preview: Pflugerville Connally Cougars vs. Rockdale Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Pflugerville Connally Cougars take on Rockdale Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pflugerville Connally is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Pflugerville Connally fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Pflugerville on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cougars have suffered since February 17th.

Diego Arizpe made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Josue Hernandez was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Rockdale won against Lexington on Tuesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Rockdale skirted past Lexington 6-5. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Rockdale's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Pflugerville Connally, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
