Softball Recap: First Baptist's Undefeated Season over After 14 Games

After flying high against Garland Christian Academy two weeks ago, First Baptist came back down to earth. The Saints fell 10-7 to the Prince of Peace Eagles on Tuesday. The match marked the Saints' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Kimberly Gutierrez stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Camila Rodriguez, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run.

Having lost for the first time this season, First Baptist fell to 13-1. As for Prince of Peace, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

As of now, neither First Baptist nor Prince of Peace have any future games scheduled.
