Wheeling Central Catholic came out on top against Tyler on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Maroon Knights blew past the Knights 8-2. Considering the Maroon Knights have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Luke Tiu was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Gary Hatfield, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Wheeling Central Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tyler struck out seven times.

Wheeling Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Tyler, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-14.

As of now, neither Wheeling Central Catholic nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
