Baseball Recap: Wayne Memorial Comes Up Short

Wayne Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-4 to the Glenn Rockets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Zebras of the 6-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Alejandro Quinones was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Wright, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Wayne Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Glenn, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Coming up, Glenn will take on Taylor at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne Memorial will be paying especially close attention to the Rockets' matchup: after the Rockets face off against the Cougars, they'll take on Wayne Memorial again at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
