Bolivar-Richburg is 7-2 against Andover since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Wolverines will be playing at home against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. The contest will give Bolivar-Richburg their first taste of in-conference action this season.

Bolivar-Richburg fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Cuba-Rushford on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 4-3. The Wolverines' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Kylee Whiting spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 14 Ks.

On the hitting side, Bolivar-Richburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayna Thomas, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was Thomas' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Andover sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 16-15 win over Friendship on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Bolivar-Richburg now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Andover, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Bolivar-Richburg took their win against Andover when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 8-1 score. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
