Basketball Game Preview: Huntingdon Bearcats vs. Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers

The Huntingdon Bearcats will challenge the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Huntingdon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Huntingdon easily dispatched Mount Union last Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Huntingdon fell just short of Bishop Carroll by a score of 71-68 on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (61), the Bearcats still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Hollidaysburg's good fortune finally ran out last Wednesday. They fell 58-49 to Bishop Guilfoyle. The game marked the Golden Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Huntingdon has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Hollidaysburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-2.

Huntingdon suffered a grim 80-60 defeat to Hollidaysburg in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Huntingdon was down 46-24.
