Preview: Jefferson Dragons vs. Loganville Red Devils

Jefferson is 1-0 against Loganville since October of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Jefferson Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the Loganville Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. Jefferson will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Friday, everything came up roses for Jefferson at home against Flowery Branch as the team secured a 41-13 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.

Jefferson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sammy Brown led the charge by rushing for 228 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Talan Childress also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, even though Clarke Central scored an imposing 50 points two weeks ago, Loganville still came out on top. Loganville slipped by Clarke Central 51-50.

Loganville can attribute much of their success to Ahmed Souare, who picked up 290 receiving yards and four touchdowns, and Brody Hannah, who threw for 553 yards and seven touchdowns. Hannah is on a roll when it comes to passing yards, as he's now passed for 300 or more in the last three games he's played. Joseph Barnes also helped out as he racked up 146 receiving yards.

Their wins bumped Jefferson to 7-0 and Loganville to 4-4.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday' contest: Jefferson has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 232.3 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Loganville, though, as they've been averaging only 90.9 per game. How will Loganville fare against such a dominant running game?

Everything came up roses for Jefferson against Loganville in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 42-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jefferson since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
