Recap: Munroe Bobcats vs. St. John Paul II Panthers
If the Munroe Bobcats were riding high off their 75-46 takedown of the L.E.A.D. Academy Lions last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Munroe fell to St. John Paul II 55-51. Munroe was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. John Paul II apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Wednesday.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zy Reese, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was JJ Clayton, who scored five points along with 16 rebounds.
Mario Forbes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. John Paul II, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 25 rebounds. Forbes is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Thompson, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Munroe's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for St. John Paul II, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.
