Baseball Recap: Williamsburg Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, Williamsburg finally came back down to earth on Friday. They came up short against the Owsley County Owls / Lady Owls, falling 8-2. That makes it the first time this season the Yellow Jackets have let down their home crowd.

Williamsburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Sizemore, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Williamsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Owsley County, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 4-10 record.

Williamsburg has already played their next contest (against McCreary Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Owsley County, they will welcome Menifee County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
