Basketball Game Preview: Eagle Rock Eagles vs. Bravo Knights

The Eagle Rock Eagles will head out to face off against the Bravo Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bravo took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Eagle Rock, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Eagle Rock didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Wilson, but they still walked away with a 45-41 win.

Meanwhile, Bravo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 68-51 bruising from Lincoln.

Despite the loss, Bravo saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Julian Ojeda went 8 of 18 en route to 21 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Benjamin Murillo, who posted nine points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists.

Even though they lost, Bravo was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Eagle Rock is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Bravo, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Eagle Rock couldn't quite finish off Bravo in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 and fell 68-66. Can Eagle Rock avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
