Preview: Pierce City Eagles vs. Stockton Tigers
Pierce City is 0-3 against the Tigers since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Pierce City Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Stockton Tigers at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Pierce City and six for the Tigers.
Last Monday, Pierce City ended up a good deal behind the Comets and lost 62-43. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pierce City in their matchups with the Comets: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Stockton was the victim of a tough 45-23 loss at the hands of the Tigers on Tuesday.
Pierce City's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Stockton, they dropped their record down to 7-11 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Things could have been worse for Pierce City, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-37 loss to the Tigers in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Pierce City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
