Basketball Game Preview: Roosevelt Mustangs vs. Kimball Knights

The Roosevelt Mustangs will head out to square off against the Kimball Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Roosevelt is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Carter just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 56-40 bruising from the Cowboys. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 335th, while the Cowboys are ranked 104th).

Meanwhile, Kimball waltzed into their game on Tuesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They breezed by the Eagles to the tune of 86-39. 86 seems to be a good number for the Knights as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Kimball has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 17-14.

Roosevelt was taken down by Kimball 76-40 in their previous matchup back in January. Can Roosevelt avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
