Softball Recap: Mapleton Comes Up Short

Mapleton fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against New London on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-6. The Mounties were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 16-1.

Mapleton's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for New London, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Mapleton will take on St. Paul at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for New London, they will face off against Loudonville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
