Preview: Apollo Hawks vs. Paradise Valley Trojans

Apollo is 4-0 against Paradise Valley since November of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Apollo Hawks will look to defend their home court against the Paradise Valley Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Even though Kellis scored an imposing 63 points on Tuesday, Apollo still came out on top. Apollo was the clear victor by a 86-63 margin over Kellis. The win was just what Apollo needed coming off of a 63-32 loss in their prior match.

Apollo found their leader in underclassman Elijah White, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 4 assists. White is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Christian Acevedo, who scored 16 points along with two steals.

Paradise Valley posted their biggest win since December 4, 2023 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Sunrise Mountain with a sharp 53-33 win. The victory was just what Paradise Valley needed coming off of a 84-47 loss in their prior match.

Apollo is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Paradise Valley, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-11.

Apollo skirted past Paradise Valley 46-43 in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. Will Apollo repeat their success, or does Paradise Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
