Laker strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Sandusky Wolves 44-20. Given the Lakers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Wolves are ranked 276th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Laker got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ben Levasseur out in front who threw for 286 yards and five TDs while picking up 13.0 yards per attempt. The Lakers' leading receiver Owen Reibling was Levasseur's top target yet again, picking up 96 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Despite the loss, Sandusky still got an impressive performance from Chase Green, who rushed for 153 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries, and also picked up 39 receiving yards. Jack Betts also helped out as he racked up 109 rushing yards.

Laker's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Sandusky, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Laker will challenge rival Millington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Lakers 7.8, the Cardinals 11.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Sandusky is set to square off against their familiar foe Caro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
