Volleyball Recap: River Mill Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Savanna Dishmon and Ja'siah Mack + How To Watch

River Mill had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 9-12 to make it five. They fell just short of the Burlington Christian Academy Royals by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Ja'Siah Mack and Savanna Dishmon certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Mack had 23 digs, while Dishmon had 19 digs, seven kills, and one block. Dishmon has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more digs the last four times she's played.

As for Burlington Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since August 28th.

Burlington Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Ali Moldt, who had seven digs and four aces. Moldt also set a new season-high mark in assists with 26. Another player making a difference was Anna Wilson, who had 14 digs and one assist.

River Mill has already played their next match (against Oxford Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Burlington Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
