Football Game Preview: Woodstock Blue Streaks vs. Johnsburg Skyhawks + Official Tickets

The Woodstock Blue Streaks will take on the Johnsburg Skyhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Woodstock didn't have too much trouble with Sandwich as they won 42-26. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Streaks.

Woodstock's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Thompson, who threw for 199 yards and four TDs while completing 77.3% of his passes. Thompson's passing game has become a key predictor of the Blue Streaks' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Logan Wisner was Thompson's top target, picking up six receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Johnsburg made easy work of Plano on Friday and carried off a 27-7 win. Considering the Skyhawks have won three contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Johnsburg's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Woodstock, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-2.
