Softball Recap: Overbrook Takes a Loss

Overbrook couldn't beat Schalick on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Rams fell 12-8 to the Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-13 back in April.

Overbrook got a massive performance out of Alaina Dufresne, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Gianna Simon was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Overbrook and nudges their season record down to 10-6. As for Schalick, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Overbrook and Schalick will both be playing Woodstown the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rams will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
