Recap: Nezperce Nighthawks vs. Kendrick Tigers

After flying high against the Clearwater Valley Rams last Monday, the Nezperce Nighthawks came back down to earth. Nezperce was beaten by Kendrick 53-17 on Tuesday. Nezperce was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-7.

When it comes to explaining why Nezperce lost, one person who can't be blamed is Erica Zenner. Despite the final result, she scored eight points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kairys Grant, who scored six points along with six rebounds.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Nezperce struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Nezperce's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Kendrick, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

Nezperce will take on St. John Bosco Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kendrick, Kendrick and Highland will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Highland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 on Tuesday.
