Football Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 56-7 loss at the hands of the Quincy Notre Dame Raiders. The Railsplitters were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Quincy Notre Dame, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Coming up, Lincoln will square off against Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Railsplitters will be up against the Crimsons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Quincy Notre Dame, they will be playing at home against MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will be up against the Generals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.88 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
