Baseball Game Preview: Meridian Trojans vs. Lynden Christian Lyncs

The Meridian Trojans will head out to challenge the Lynden Christian Lyncs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Meridian 3.5, Lynden Christian 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Meridian's offense. They fell 3-0 to Ferndale on Thursday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Lynden Christian is still undefeated this season after their game against Friday Harbor on Saturday, but Friday Harbor came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Lyncs came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Wolverines.

Lynden Christian pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs across that stretch. As for Meridian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
