Basketball Recap: Pioneer Takes a Loss

Pioneer lost against Dexter back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pioneer Pioneers were beaten by the Dexter Dreadnaughts 64-19. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 308th, while the Dreadnaughts are ranked 61st).

Pioneer's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Dexter, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Pioneer will face off against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Dexter has already played their next contest (against Monroe), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
