Softball Game Preview: Warren/Stockton Warhawks vs. West Carroll Thunder

Warren/Stockton has gone 8-2 against West Carroll recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Warhawks will challenge the Thunder. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Thursday, Warren/Stockton came up short against River Ridge/Scales Mound and fell 12-7. The loss continues a trend for the Warhawks in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for West Carroll's offense. They lost 10-0 to Fulton on Thursday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Thunder were not able to get on the board.

Warren/Stockton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for West Carroll, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Everything went Warren/Stockton's way against West Carroll when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Warren/Stockton made off with a 22-11 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warhawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
