Volleyball Recap: Pike Takes a Loss

After flying high against Speedway on Thursday, Pike came back down to earth. The Red Devils fell just short of the Connersville Spartans by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Pike still got an impressive performance from Justice King, who had 14 digs and one assist. Taliyah Smith also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Pike's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Connersville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Pike has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Rising Sun on the 13th. As for Connersville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Seymour on the 13th.
