Preview: Norte Vista Braves vs. JW North Huskies

Norte Vista has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the JW North Huskies at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Norte Vista knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully JW North likes a good challenge.

Last Thursday, Norte Vista was fully in charge, breezing past California Military Institute 89-22 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 61-5.

Carter Fulton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 28 points, 10 assists, and 11 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Norte Vista's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marinio Elissaint, who scored 21 points along with 5 steals.

Meanwhile, JW North ended up a good deal behind Torrey Pines on Saturday and lost 63-44. While losing is never fun, JW North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 576th, while Torrey Pines is ranked 47th).

Norte Vista's victory bumped their season record to 2-3 while California Military Institute's defeat dropped theirs to 0-2.
