Volleyball Recap: Russell Snags 11th Win in Last 14 Games

Somerset typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Russell proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Briar Jumpers.

While Russell won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22.

Russell has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Somerset, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-3.

Russell has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Cooper on the 20th. As for Somerset, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Ballard on the 20th.
