Basketball Recap: Fairdale Takes a Loss

If Fairdale was feeling good fresh off their 97-44 takedown of LKY last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fairdale Bulldogs fell to the Bullitt East Chargers 58-53. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Fairdale saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ferlandas Wright dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Wright is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last 11 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Anthony Milan Jr, who posted five points.

Fairdale's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Bullitt East, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.

Fairdale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 85-30 victory against Doss on the 1st. As for Bullitt East, they have also already played their next matchup, a 72-60 loss against North Hardin on the 3rd.
