Soccer Recap: Point Loma Takes a Loss

Point Loma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the San Diego Cavers. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Pointers couldn't quite close it out.

Point Loma now has a losing record at 4-5-1. As for San Diego, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Cathedral Catholic the next time they take the pitch. San Diego will head out to face Cathedral Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Point Loma will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
