Basketball Recap: Chaminade-Madonna Lions vs. Avant Garde Academy Sharks
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Chaminade-Madonna Lions walked away with it. They blew past the Sharks 45-22. The win was a breath of fresh air for Chaminade-Madonna as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Chaminade-Madonna was led to victory by Jasmine Horne and Ana Sofia Laszewski. Horne dropped a double-double on 15 points and 20 rebounds, while Laszewski scored 24 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Laszewski has scored all season.
Chaminade-Madonna's victory bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Avant Garde Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Chaminade-Madonna will face off against the Spartans at TBD on Wednesday. Miami Country Day is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games. Avant Garde Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
