Volleyball Recap: Clemens Takes a Loss

Clemens lost against Bowie back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Buffaloes took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. While the Buffaloes didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 25-19 in the first set.

Clemens started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-20, 25-18, 27-25.

McKenna Gobin paced Clemens' offense, picking up 15 kills. Gobin got some help from Emily Corkill and her 25 assists. Corkill was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Clemens' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bowie, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Clemens wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Rouse on the 14th. As for Bowie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Jefferson on the 14th.
