Baseball Recap: Leland & Gray Has No Trouble Against Springfield

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against White River Valley, Leland & Gray was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Springfield Cosmos 17-6. The Rebels have beaten the Cosmos the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cosmos has come to flipping the script.

Leland & Gray's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Springfield, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Coincidentally, Leland & Gray and Springfield will both be playing Green Mountain the next time they take the field. The Cosmos will head out to face the Chieftains at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Rebels will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
