Baseball Game Preview: Harlan Hawks vs. Brandeis Broncos

For the second straight game, Harlan will face off against Brandeis. The Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Broncos at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Harlan has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Harlan heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They fell just short of Brandeis by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that the Hawks have lost by just one run.

For Brandeis' part, not much got past Tanner Hallmark, who gave up just five hits to keep Harlan off the board.

On the hitting side, Brandeis saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chrystian Ramirez, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Brandeis has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Harlan, they dropped their record down to 15-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
