Football Game Preview: Demopolis Tigers vs. Wetumpka Indians + How To Watch

The Demopolis Tigers will head out to face off against the Wetumpka Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Demopolis is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Northside just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a blow against the Rams, falling 48-14.

Meanwhile, Wetumpka scored first but ultimately less than Stanhope Elmore in their game on Friday. They took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. While the Indians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 7-0 in the first quarter.

Demopolis will need to focus on slowing down Charles Skipper, one of several Wetumpka players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 202 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 42 yards. Skipper has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played. A healthy portion of Skipper's aerial production (97 yards to be exact) went to Kaleb Ballard, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Demopolis' loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Wetumpka, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Demopolis came up short against Wetumpka when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 22-9. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
