The Bishop Moore Hornets will challenge the Wekiva Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Moore is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.1 points per game this season.

Bishop Moore is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Lake Highland Prep just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 47-36 to the Highlanders. The matchup marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Bishop Moore saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jaiden Peterson went 6-for-14 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Alysya Smith, who posted seven points.

Meanwhile, Wekiva was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 51-45 to Altamonte Christian. While the Mustangs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 15-9 in the first quarter.

Bishop Moore's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Wekiva, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Bishop Moore couldn't quite finish off Wekiva when the teams last played back in January and fell 52-50. Can the Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
