There's no place like home for Neumann Regional Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Bucktail Bucks on Thursday as they made off with a 13-3 win. Considering the Golden Knights have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Gino Birch was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Nolan Fagnano, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Neumann Regional Academy pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bucktail, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Looking ahead, Neumann Regional Academy will square off against Troy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bucktail, they will challenge Benton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bucks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
