Football Game Preview: Sedro-Woolley Cubs vs. Marysville Getchell + How To Watch

The Sedro-Woolley Cubs are taking a road trip to face off against Marysville Getchell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sedro-Woolley has five straight wins, Marysville Getchell has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While Sedro-Woolley's victory against Edmonds-Woodway wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cubs skirted past the Warriors 28-25. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cubs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Warriors are ranked 140th).

Sedro-Woolley's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cliff Tadema, who threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. What's more, Tadema racked up 127.5 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, Marysville Getchell had to suffer through a 41-14 loss at the hands of Oak Harbor.

Marysville Getchell's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sedro-Woolley, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Sedro-Woolley strolled past Marysville Getchell in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 35-21. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Marysville Getchell's Arion Palacol, who rushed for 99 yards and one TD on only 14 carries, and also threw for 145 yards and one touchdown.
