Softball Recap: Shelby Whippets vs. Marion Harding Presidents
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shelby). They were the clear victors by a 22-2 margin over the Marion Harding Presidents on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Whippets in their matchups with the Presidents: they've now won five in a row.
Alyssa Booker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Booker was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
