Baseball Recap: Brookland-Cayce Comes Up Short

Brookland-Cayce entered their contest against Aiken on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Brookland-Cayce fell 6-2 to Aiken. The Bearcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Green Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Brookland-Cayce suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 6-6. As for Aiken, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.

While Brookland-Cayce had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
