Greenhill dropped down to 8-4 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They took a 77-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Second Baptist Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Eagles are ranked 11th).

As for Second Baptist, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.3 points over those games.

It was another big night for Reese Alston, who went 8-for-11 en route to 20 points and five assists. The game was his 12th in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Smith, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 12 points.

Greenhill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 75-42 defeat against Houston Christian on the 6th. As for Second Baptist, they have also already played their next contest, an 82-73 win against Xavier Academy on the 6th.
