Basketball Recap: North Callaway Falls Despite Big Games from Jamarion Glover and Zac Craghead

North Callaway lost against South Callaway back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The North Callaway Thunderbirds lost to the South Callaway Bulldogs at home by a 55-41 margin.

Zac Craghead and Jamarion Glover certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Craghead posted six points and seven rebounds, while Glover earned eight points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Craghead a new career-high in steals (two).

North Callaway has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points over those games. As for South Callaway, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.

Coming up, North Callaway will square off against Montgomery County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Montgomery County will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something North Callaway surely won't give up without a fight. South Callaway has already played their next game (against Missouri Military Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
