Volleyball Recap: Deerfield Takes a Loss

Deerfield lost against Glenbrook North back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Warriors fell 2-0 to the Spartans. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

While Deerfield was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22.

Leading Glenbrook North to victory were Connor Chung and Jaiden Han. Chung had 11 assists, while Han had five digs and one assist. That's the most assists Chung has posted over his last nine games.

Deerfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Glenbrook North, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Deerfield will take on rival New Trier at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Glenbrook North is set to square off against their familiar foe Maine South at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
