Recap: Marina Mariners vs. Hollister Haybalers
The Marina Mariners waltzed into their match Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They secured a 50-46 W over Hollister. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Marina has scored all season.
Marina had a senior duo take command as Isaiah True scored 15 points and Kareem Allen scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points True has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Julius Robinson, who scored six points.
Marina's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Hollister, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Marina won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Rancho San Juan at 6:30 p.m. on December 28th. Rancho San Juan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 863rd, while Marina is ranked 304th). As for Hollister, they will head out on the road to face off against Everett Alvarez at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
